Russia-Ukraine gas update
The dispute between Russia and the Ukraine over natural gas continues. The Ukraine, as the Clarion Content predicted, is tapping the pipelines that cross its land to supply central and western Europe's natural gas. Gas deliveries to Europe are down sharply. Russia, in a snit, has raised its final offer from $250 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas to $450 per thousand cubic meters of gas. During 2008 the Ukraine was paying $184 per thousand cubic meters of gas.
