Fill'er up
The Clarion Content's sources say buy gas tonight.
Or if you are in a slightly higher income bracket buy oil futures tomorrow.
Survey says both are going up at least briefly no matter who is elected president on Tuesday. The logic is that the market speculators will argue that there is a risk premium attached to either U.S. Presidential candidate.
"If McCain gets elected he's going to keep troops in Iraq for a hundred years and who's to say he won't invade Iran," will be the argument.
If Obama gets elected, it will be "he is untested, and why, you heard it, even his own running mate said he is sure to be tested by an international crisis in the first 150 days."
Either way says here unleaded gas and oil futures are going up on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Will calm have returned by Friday? Hopefully.
As always, our predictions should only be consumed with large grains of salt.
